The year 2018 marked the birth of Best Care Liverpool. It all started with a shared dream among our founders to make a real difference in home care. Primrose, one of our founders, was working as a nurse and often saw patients discharged from hospitals who struggled to find high-quality care at home. She knew things could be better. Around the same time, another founder with a background in social care management felt that many care agencies were too rigid and impersonal, treating care as a checklist rather than a personal connection. Teaming up with a business-minded friend who had experienced the challenge of finding good care for a relative, they decided to create a care company that would do things differently.
They envisioned a service where clients are like family, where staff are supported and happy, and where quality would never be compromised for profit. With that vision, Best Care Liverpool Limited was incorporated in January 2018, and our journey began. Starting with just a handful of carers and clients, we operated out of a small office in Kirkby (Knowsley). In those early days, everyone wore many hats – the directors themselves would step in to cover care visits, answer phone calls, and train new recruits. It was hard work, but the passion to help others fueled the team.

Word spread quickly about the kind of care Best Care Liverpool was providing. Clients shared their experiences, families gave positive feedback to social workers, and before long, referrals increased. By 2019, we expanded our team to meet demand, hiring more care assistants who shared our values. Our commitment to quality was officially recognised when the Care Quality Commission inspected us and rated our service as “Good” overall – a proud moment for a young company.
In the following years, we expanded geographically. We grew our presence in Liverpool city and took on clients in new areas like Huyton and Prescot (within Knowsley). In 2022, we started serving St Helens, leading to the opening of a local office for better reach. Each expansion was carefully managed to maintain our personal touch. We achieved this by recruiting excellent local carers and maintaining a strong supervision structure. Our management team also grew, bringing on experienced care coordinators and trainers to uphold our standards.
Despite growing, we maintained an outstanding level of client satisfaction. Families consistently gave us 5-star feedback. By 2024, with over 30 client reviews, we proudly held a 9.6/10 review score on HomeCare.co.uk. Many new clients came to us because they read our reviews or heard recommendations from those we had helped.
